One by One

One by one, they cross on,
leaving us behind.
One by one they find home,
while we must somehow find
strength to carry on.
Marilyn's mother died in May,
Mary's husband in July,
and now Bob's wife died this month.
A sadness fills me again
each time I hear the news.
But I have to believe
there are lots of
Alzheimer Angels somewhere,
that sunsets turn into
sunrises, and someday loved ones
and caregivers will be reunited.
