Memory Walk 2000 at Huntsville/Madison County Botanical Gardens

Participants waiting for the Walk to begin

Cody, the hero dog, who rescued an Alzheimer's patient

McGruff, the crime dog, comes to walk with us

We line up to walk

and the Walk begins by the butterfly house

Calhoun Community College Reference Librarian,
Eva Randolph, walks in memory of her father

Calhoun Media Services Technician, Natasha
George walks in honor of her grandmother

Calhoun student, Rita Goodwin, and her family walk in
honor of a friend and neighbor, Mr. Ken Sellers

Natasha George wears a big smile for her grandmother

People of all ages join in the Walk

It was a perfect day in north Alabama

unlike last year when we walked in the rain

Smiling faces and cheerful waves greeted us

As we walked on for those with Alzheimer's

and in memory of/honor of people we love

cheered on by those on the sidelines

waving as we drew closer

approaching the finish line

The Winners! I came in second place
in the 18-50 age group, raising $500.

We all are winners in the fight against Alzheimer's!

I wore a custom designed t-shirt this year

The back of my t-shirt had this design
